IMA Financial Group Hosts 6th Annual Pickle Bash Fundraiser in Kansas City

Pickleball tournament raised $106k for local nonprofits

(Kansas City, MO – September 10, 2024). IMA Financial Group, a North American insurance brokerage firm specializing in risk management, insurance, wholesale brokerage and wealth management, held its 6^th annual “Pickle Bash” fundraiser on Thursday, September 19, 2024. This annual fundraiser raised more than $106k and featured an afternoon of doubles pickleball, yard games and more at Chicken N Pickle in North Kansas City, MO, with all proceeds benefiting the IMA Foundation.

With 200+ attendees, this year’s Pickle Bash had something for everyone whether playing on a team or joining as a spectator. In addition to the action on the courts, spectators and teams took photos with the Kansas City Chiefs’ own K.C. Wolf, and enjoyed live music, food and drinks. Finally, former IMA Foundation grant recipient and longtime local partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City, was in attendance as well.

Giving Back to Nonprofits That Make A Difference

The IMA Foundation provides grants to organizations that have a primary focus on advancing youth, with five key areas identified: education, mental health, arts & culture, food insecurity and homelessness. Pickle Bash is one of many IMA Foundation public fundraising events held nationwide each year, inviting business partners, colleagues, media, employees and members of the public to engage in friendly competition for a cause. Through sponsorships and ticket sales, IMA raised nearly $1 million for nonprofits across the country in 2023.
