IMA is seeking a seasonal team member to support producers. This role is designed to help producers spend more time selling by offloading prospecting support activities such as market research, list generation, and contact validation. The Summer Sales Associate will play an important role in supporting pipeline development efforts by identifying target accounts, organizing prospect data, and helping maintain clean, actionable lists for producer outreach.

What You'll Do

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

    • Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
    • Supports producers across the US with prospecting activities and market research
    • Builds targeted prospect lists based on geography, industry, revenue size, and other producer-defined criteria
    • Conducts local market research to identify prospective clients, centers of influence, and relevant business targets
    • Creates, organizes, and maintains contact lists for producer outreach and pipeline development
    • Validates basic company and contact information, including business details, titles, phone numbers, email addresses, and office locations
    • Assists in identifying new business opportunities through public data, internal tools, and online research
    • Organizes research findings into clear, usable formats for producers and regional partners
    • Enters and maintains required information in Salesforce CRM and/or other approved systems
    • Partners closely with producers and internal stakeholders to ensure prospecting efforts align with regional growth priorities
    • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a timely manner
    • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when handling prospect and business information
    • Other duties may be assigned based on team and regional needs

You Should Have

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:

  • Interest in sales, business development, insurance, financial services, or professional services preferred
  • Prior internship, research, administrative, sales support, or business experience preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to gather, synthesize, and present information in a clear and efficient manner
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and online research tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products required, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platform preferred
  • Ability to manage recurring tasks while responding to changing business needs
  • Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy in data entry, list creation, and contact validation
  • Current college enrollment or recent completion of a degree program preferred
  • Success in This Role
  • Success in this role means producers are spending less time building lists and researching prospects, and more time in meetings, developing relationships, and advancing opportunities. The ideal candidate brings a service mindset, strong execution skills, and an interest in helping drive regional sales efficiency during a high-opportunity summer period

Work Environment / Schedule

  • Temporary, time-bound position
  • Hybrid or office-based schedule depending on market and business need
  • Flexible scheduling may be available within standard business hours
  • Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
