As Market Leader and Senior Counsel at IMA Boston, Josie oversees IMA’s strategic growth and client service operations in the Boston market. Previously serving as Executive Vice President and Senior Counsel at IMA Boston (formerly EBS), Josie brings 25 years of experience, with expertise spanning employee benefits, risk assessment, business strategy, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance. She advises clients on all aspects of health and welfare plans, as well as legal and compliance-related issues.
Josie won EBN’s prestigious ‘Advisor of the Year’ award in 2020 for her excellence in forward-thinking and client-first work ethic. She has served on numerous committees and boards, including the Compliance Committee for United Benefit Advisors (UBA), the Board of The Boston Home, the Board of Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and currently on the President’s Board of Advisors for Mass General Brigham.
Josie’s contributions to her communities extend far beyond the benefits world. She served on the State Ethics Commission under Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker from 2018 to 2024. In 2017, Governor Baker appointed Josie as Chair of his Latino Advisory Commission where she led initiatives to promote economic opportunities, prosperity, and well-being for the Latino population within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Josie’s dedication to service shines as a leader in the IMA community as well. She finds fulfillment as Board member of the IMA Foundation and serves on the Women’s Network Mentorship Leadership Team. Josie’s passion for hard work and meaningful leadership excelled as a graduate of the Duke Leadership Program class of 2024.
