President IMA Foundation, SVP of Purpose

Ruth is president of the IMA Foundation and the senior vice president of purpose for IMA Financial Group. In this position, Ruth oversees the operations of the IMA Foundation and corporate social responsibility for IMA and its nearly 3,000 associates across the U.S. Before taking on this new position, Ruth also led IMA’s corporate communications team. Prior to joining IMA in May 2011, Ruth was the manager of community relations for Comcast Mile High Region. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has a Master’s degree from Chapman University. She also received a certificate in corporate community involvement management from the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship.

Ruth currently serves as Chair of the MSU Denver Foundation board of directors and also serves on the boards of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado, the National Sports Center for the Disabled, and the University of Alabama College of Communications & Information Sciences, where she was named an Outstanding Alumni in Communication Studies.

She is a past chair of the board of the Denver Chamber Leadership Foundation and the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter. Ruth completed the Colorado Governor’s Fellowship Program and is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Denver. In 2007, she was selected as one of Denver’s Forty Under 40 by the Denver Business Journal. Ruth was honored as a Top Woman in Communications by Ragan Communications and was named a Girl Scouts of Colorado Woman of Distinction and one of Colorado’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
