Construction Education Series

About This Event

Construction projects move quickly and insurance requirements do not always keep up. One contract clause, missing coverage or inaccurate certificate can create delays, added costs and difficult conversations when a claim happens.

Join IMA for two practical working sessions designed for construction and real estate professionals who manage contracts, projects, insurance requirements or certificates of insurance.

Morning session: Construction Insurance 101

8:30 AM – 12:00 PM PT

This seminar is designed for contractors, subcontractors, developers, and other construction professionals responsible for contracts, site supervision, or insurance programs.

We’ll cover key construction insurance needs, common coverage considerations, and typical claims issues that arise throughout a project.

You will leave better prepared to:

  • Recognize issues that could affect a claim
  • Identify gaps before work begins
  • Understand which coverage applies to the project
  • Ask better questions when reviewing insurance requirements
Afternoon session: Contracts & Certificate Review 101

1:00 PM – 4:30 PM PT

Learn how to work through insurance language in contracts, leases and certificates of insurance without relying on guesswork.

You will leave better prepared to:

  • Find the requirements that need your attention
  • Review certificates more effectively
  • Address missing or incorrect information
  • Have clearer conversations with contractors, clients and insurance partners
