ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

  • Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email, phone and in-person
  • People Management
  • Manages regional financial strategy team leads, providing clear communication of expectations, established timeframes, regular progress updates, and annual performance evaluations
  • Coordinates metrics and processes for managing and assigning the overall workload and projects of assigned analysts
  • Coordinates staffing plans for assigning clients, working with regional leads to assess workload
  • Provides feedback to service team members as needed, in support of their on-going professional development goals to ensure client expectations are met
  • Participates in the hiring process for direct reports as well as additional department hires
  • National leadership
  • Leads national financial strategy servicing meetings, planning training curriculums and communicating information and updates
  • Regularly identifies opportunities to ensure quality standards, including implementation of best practices and peer review standards
  • Recognizes opportunities to improve financial strategy service offerings, and implements initiatives to support service improvements
  • In all aspects of client relationships, mentors financial strategists to support associate growth and local expertise development
  • Interacts with market leaders and national leadership to ensure work quality across all functions
  • Implements innovative products and services alongside existing financial strategy processes and service offerings
  • Underwriting & Analysis
  • Acts as peer review and mentor for a national book of complex self funded, level funded, and fully insured clients, providing both financial reporting and strategic leadership
  • Develops and delivers servicing standards related to financial strategy, including but not limited to benchmarking, financial analysis, underwriting projections, contribution analysis, self-funded decision support, and IBNR
  • Performs high degree of analysis to provide BOB trends or specific prospect/client needs, summarizing data to communicate in writing and through conversations with national leadership and strategic partners
  • Marketing, renewals, and partnership
  • Reviews team needs to assist with marketing template updates, RFP submissions, collection and management of data, along with individual review of complex marketing
  • Executes standards processes for financial analysis of marketing offerings including fully insured, TPA, stop loss, and PBM coverages
  • Negotiates with national carrier partners based on the targeted goals
  • Engages and builds key carrier and vendor relationships
  • Presentation
  • Determines communication strategy for delivering financial strategy to a diverse book of clients
  • Champions new initiatives and growth opportunities to national leadership and market leaders

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but not limited to:

  • 10+ years of similar or related experience
  • Prefer college graduate, 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suites with, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Managerial or leadership experience
  • Attains Life and Health license & maintains through continuing education requirements
  • Some travel required (once monthly)
  • Responsibility for executing the benefit division’s strategic direction of analytic solutions and tools
  • Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) abilities
  • Identifies modifications to existing methodologies, and implements new initiatives
  • Demonstrates ability to manage and mentor experienced professionals
  • Responsibility for accuracy of analysis and peer review best practices
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, on multiple work streams, and with tight deadlines
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills

Salary Range
$200,000—$225,000 USD
