What You Will Do
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives
- Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution
- Conduct regular client meetings to review service levels, discuss renewals, and explore additional service opportunities
- Manage and retain a book of existing clients, ensuring high retention rates and client satisfaction
- Develop and execute strategies to maintain and expand client relationships
- Collaborate with clients to develop strategic benefits plans aligned with their business goals and employee needs
- Provide expert advice on benefit plan design, cost management strategies, compliance issues, and industry best practices
- Conduct thorough analysis of client data and industry trends to make informed recommendations and optimize benefit offerings
- Lead the implementation of new client accounts, including coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions
- Manage timelines and deliverables for client projects, ensuring all milestones are met on schedule and within budget
- Oversee the execution of open enrollment processes, including communication plans, enrollment systems, and participant support
- Stay current with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits, advising clients on compliance requirements and potential impacts
- Assist clients in preparing for and managing audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and reporting are accurate and accessible
- Analyze claims data, utilization patterns, and cost drivers to assess plan performance and recommend adjustments, as needed
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for clients, highlighting key metrics such as cost savings, utilization trends, and ROI on benefit programs
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts for benefit plan providers, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Monitor vendor performance and service levels, addressing any issues or concerns to maintain high-quality service delivery
- Collaborate with producers and sales teams to identify and qualify new business opportunities in the employee benefits market
- Assist in preparing prospecting materials, presentations, and proposals to effectively communicate value propositions and solutions
- Participate in prospect meetings and presentations alongside producers to showcase company capabilities and expertise
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including account management, sales, underwriting, and compliance, to deliver integrated solutions and exceptional client service
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development within the organization
- Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within client service operations
- Pursue ongoing professional development through industry certifications, seminars, and networking events to stay abreast of industry changes and best practices

You Should Have
- Must have 7 years of large group employee benefits account management experience within the insurance industry
- Active Life/Health License required
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and benchmarks
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and upholding ethical standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and benefits administration software
