IMA's Risk Control team is seeking a Construction Risk Control Practice Leader to join our National Support group! This role is responsible for the matrix reporting for technical construction oversight, development, and technical goal setting for risk control advisors with construction clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Have active membership and visibility in relevant industry trade groups, safety councils, RIMS committees, etc.
  • Develop training materials for internal and external clients
  • Develop marketing materials
  • Oversee Request for Proposals (RFP) responses
  • Mentor other risk control advisors who have an interest in the specialty
  • Develop industry specific risk control solutions
  • Work collaboratively with risk control managers in developing and executing service plans
  • Build industry loss prevention benchmarking metrics
  • Work closely with the Director of Risk Innovation and Strategy to develop cutting edge risk management processes and tools
  • Support and demonstrate IMA’s core values

Required skills and experiences:

  • 10+ years' of relevant industry experience required
  • People management experience required
  • Respond to new business opportunities quickly, including developing RFP responses and marketing materials for capabilities presentations
  • Share Industry Sector-specific Risk Control marketing materials across all offices and develop relationships with AEs and Producers in the industry sector of focus
  • Develop and execute service plans for assigned clients and provide project management oversight for the delivery of Risk Control services on clients that span across more than one office in partnership with the Account Executive and producing office Risk Control Manager
  • Be a leader in the development of customized and unique Risk Control Services in the industry sector, including content for regularly published Newsletters and/or White Papers
  • Develop Loss Analyses on a periodic basis, understand agency financial metrics, stay connected while traveling, answer client questions in a timely fashion, and assist the AE in the renewal process with Loss Exhibits, Service Plans, and Risk Assessments as requested
  • Coach and develop industry sector teammates in technical expertise and delivery of service within the industry
  • Complete Continuing Education goals annually, maintain a professional designation, and network nationally
  • Be able to plan one’s own travel using corporate software and travel overnight up to 50% to deliver client services
  • Be able to drive 4 to 6 hours by oneself and maintain a qualified driving record
  • Assist clients with regulatory reporting and inspections
