What You'll Do
- Maintain regular, professional contact to create and foster relationships with client representatives
- Research and resolve issues and requests in a timely manner, including issues requiring direct interactions
- Answer questions related to benefits program
- Conduct reviews and works to provide guidance on compliance related matters
- Assist in and prepare materials and collateral for meetings and discussions
- Actively participate in discussions
- Record and report meeting discussion and action items
- Carrier and vendor management
- Oversee new vendor/carrier implementations
- Review carrier, vendor, and plan documents and contracts
- Maintain regular contact with carrier and vendor representatives to ensure client advocacy and that issues are being resolved in a timely manner
- Work with clients to develop short and long-term employee communication objectives
- Create member facing collateral pieces to promote and clarify benefit program features
- Lead in-person, virtual, and telephonic sessions to provide information and plan details to participants
- Use regular interactions to update clients on carrier and vendor partner features and services
- Actively participate and contribute to client service team operations
- Effectively communicate client updates to appropriate team members
- Assist with other team duties as needed – i.e., position vacancy, cover personal time off, etc.
You Should Have
- Minimum 2 years of experience servicing a mid-market book of business within the retail insurance brokerage industry
- Intermediate MS office skills (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to learn and work in agency/client management systems and other related software and technology platforms
- Attain and maintain state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards
- Intermediate interpersonal communication skills – written and oral – with the ability to articulate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to present information in a group setting (in person and virtually)
- Intermediate organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects with variable deadlines
- Possesses high degree of diplomacy and tact while maintaining confidentially
