Price

President, Oregon

Ken serves as the IMA Oregon president. He oversees IMA’s offices in Springfield and Portland, Oregon. Prior to this role, Ken served as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for KPD Insurance.

Ken joined KPD Insurance in 2013 as a Select Commercial Lines Producer. He then served as the Operations Manager until his assignment as the Chief Operating Officer in May 2015. Ken is the son of Gordon Price, one of KPD’s founders. Ken grew up in Junction City, Oregon and received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Oregon State University with a Major in Business Management. Ken also earned the CPCU designation in 1995 from the Insurance Institute of America.

Prior to joining KPD Insurance, Ken began his 40+ year insurance career on the insurance carrier side of the business with Nationwide Insurance as a Claims Adjuster. From that start, Ken has held various carrier Regional Management positions in the areas of Claims, Operations, Underwriting, Sales, and Product Management. These assignments took Ken and his family all over the United States including stops in Portland, Denver, Chicago, Tampa, Detroit, and Sacramento.

After experiencing all the carrier side of the business had to offer, Ken settled his family back in the Eugene area and began his agency career. After deciding not to purchase into a local agency, Ken joined KPD Insurance and he looks forward to no other moves until the end of his career. Ken has been married to his college sweetheart, Suzanne, for over 39 years and together they have two children who both graduated from the University of Oregon. When Ken is not camping or hiking with Suzanne, he will most likely be salmon fishing in the ocean or on the Siuslaw River. Ken is also involved with the Education Together Foundation to help raise scholarship funds for the Tiger Alumni Association.
