Kristi began her employee benefits career in 1989 with Mutual of Omaha’s Denver Group Office. During her eight year tenure with the Mutual of Omaha Companies she was an Account Manager responsible for health, life and disability plans for large employer groups. Kristi also served on the management team for Mutual of Omaha’s HMO, where she assisted in implementing their customer service department and was in charge of service for their largest client which consisted of 14,000 employees. Kristi’s consulting career began in 1997 as the Assistant Vice President of Employee Benefits for a regional consulting firm in Anchorage, Alaska. She returned to Denver in 2001 where, prior to joining IMA, she served as a Senior Consultant for Lockton and Mercer.
Throughout her career, Kristi’s experience has been with mid-size to large employer groups across all industry sectors, specializing in both fully-insured and self-funded health plans. Her expertise extends over all types of employee benefit programs and funding arrangements. In addition to her extensive background in health plans, Kristi is also extremely proficient in ancillary coverage’s including life, disability and voluntary programs, as well as compliance issues associated with all facets of employee benefits. Kristi attended the University of Colorado and Regis University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Kristi is responsible for the design, management, and analysis of the benefit plans, as well as the day-to-day direction of benefits consulting services. She manages the strategic direction of employee benefits programs and provides innovative solutions to benefits planning concerns. She utilizes a wide variety of strategies to help clients manage their benefit programs, including funding and risk alternatives, health claim analysis, managed care, cost containment, and employee communications.
