IMA’s entry into the metaverse, announced March 2, has been featured in CoinDesk. IMA’s Web3Labs launch is the first insurance and risk management research and development facility in the metaverse. CoinDesk spoke with IMA leadership about the launch and how insurance plays a part in the world of cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
“I absolutely believe we are quickly approaching an inflection point,” executive vice president Paul Washington said in the interview. “There’s of course a big focus on asset building in the metaverse, which needs to be considered from a risk mitigation standpoint, no question.”
