IMA Select is seeking a Private Client Advisor to join our team in Wichita, KS! This role is responsible for the for daily account servicing and client advisement needs, including but not limited to handling client and insurance company inquiries, processing daily carrier downloads, obtaining daily notifications and alerts from carrier websites, maintaining accurate account information in agency management system, claims advising, endorsements, evidence of insurance, and auto ID cards. A successful applicant must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage complex accounts, analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations, and have excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. This position is eligible for remote work in the state of Kansas! 

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cultivate and maintain excellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers 
  • Interact professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person 
  • Develop remarketing strategy in accordance with client servicing standards and market changes 
  • Manage renewal process on assigned book of business including preparation of pre-renewal summary, online quoting via carrier rating platforms and comparative rater, reviewing quotes and negotiating terms and premiums, preparing final quotes and proposals for delivery to client, binding coverage, and issuing renewal invoices, etc. 
  • Participate in conference calls and/or periodic in-person client meetings to ensure assets are adequately protected and cross-selling new or adding additional lines of coverage or services on existing accounts 
  • Following up on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy 
  • Attend education classes in combination with individual study programs to expand technical coverage knowledge
  • Support and demonstrate IMA Select’s core values

Required skills and experiences:

  • Minimum 2 years of similar or related experience required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Math skills required, involving familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts, and commissions 
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products required
  • Ability to obtain Property and Casualty license within 30-60 days of hire will be required for state of business and must fulfill continuing education requirement to retain license, unless already licensed
