Infrared Thermography (IT) with a digital camera, is a technique that produces images of infrared light that are invisible to the human eye. The light is emitted by objects due to the heat signature or lack thereof. Using an infrared camera will result in an image that looks a like an impressionist painting, but can tell the building owner plenty about the operating condition of the structure.
