SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

Financial Panel: Direct Primary Care/On-Site Clinics

Jon Hernandez, CEO PeakMed; Clint Flanagan, MD/CEO Nextera Healthcare; Eric Schrumpf, VP Sales Marathon Health

Join our panel of experts for a discussion around two innovative practices in the healthcare space aimed at providing your employees with quality care while keeping costs manageable. Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative alternative payment model improving access to high functioning healthcare with a flat, affordable membership fee. The defining element of DPC is an enduring and trusting relationship between a patient and his or her primary care provider. A workplace “onsite clinic” is a setting where an employer offers one or more medical and wellness services, delivered by licensed providers, to all or a designated portion of its active population and other eligible individuals. Employer-sponsored onsite clinics are all unique, reflecting the demographics, culture, geography and clinical needs of the employer and its workers, as well as the medical resources available in the local community.

Financial: The Next Generation of Pharmacy Management: Leveraging Your PBM to Control Prescription Drug Costs

Kristin Begley, ParmD/Chief Growth Officer EmpiRx Health

Healthcare costs continue to push upward. This trend poses a significant financial challenge for employers in 2018 and years to come.  Kristin Begley, Chief Commercial Officer of Pharmacy Benefits Manager, EmpiRx Health, will discuss current trends in pharmacy and improved strategies to evaluate vendors in the space.

Financial Panel: Medical Tourism

Jim Polsfut, North American Specialty Hospital (NASH); Scott Ray, 6 Degrees Health; Dr. Keith Smith, CEO Surgery Center of Oklahoma

Join our panel of experts for thoughts on medical tourism and how this strategy can benefit both your plan members and your business. Medical Tourism is an arrangement where people who live in one geographic location travel to another location to receive medical, dental and surgical care.  Patients are traveling for medical care because of affordability, as well as better access to care or a higher level of quality of care.

People: From Good Ideas to Practical Reality: How to Build a Thriving Workplace

Rosie Ward, Ph.D., MPH, MCHES, BCC, CIC®, CVS-FR Salveo Partners

It’s one thing to conceptually understand the importance of a thriving workplace; it’s another to actually lead and influence the changes necessary in order to make it happen. This session will focus on practical realities and tangible steps you can take to create partnerships and gain buy-in for doing things differently; how to leverage employee feedback to energize your transformation efforts; and metrics to use to guide your efforts.

People: Entrapment, Engagement or Encouragement: What is your relationship with your employees?

Michelle Del Santo, VP of Talent and Culture SurveyGizmo

In this session, we will workshop how to collect data that determines the difference between employees being “into their job” or just being “on the job,” and why that matters to the health of the organization.

Workshop: Aligning Your Employee Value Proposition with the Future of Work

Courtney Harrison, Consultant/Executive Coach hrQ

We know the importance of an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and its impact on the bottom line and the costs tied to attrition. So how will an EVP enable companies to differentiate themselves and compete in the “Future of Work” over the next few years? This session will include learning about critical disruptions such as The Dismantling of Higher Education, Leveraging the On Demand/Freelance Workforce and Determining what “Place” even means in “Workplace” today.

Thanks to our sponsors and speakers!
