William (Bill) A. Jensen has enjoyed an accomplished and influential 40-year career in the ski industry. Between 1997-2012 Bill led the three most successful ski resorts in North America, during which time two of those resorts were recognized by SKI Magazine as the #1 Ski Resort in North America a total of nine times. Bill currently serves as Equity Partner and CEO of Telluride Ski and Golf, a privately-held $60MM revenue company with ski, golf, hospitality and real estate assets.
Prior to joining Telluride in 2015, Bill was the CEO of Intrawest, North America’s second largest ski and resort real estate company with nine ski resort assets. He led 17 M&A acquisitions, four refinancings and two IPO’s as the company reduced debt level from $1.7 billion to $500MM while increasing ebitda $70MM. Bill served as the President of Vail Resorts mountain division, the COO of Vail Mountain and the COO of Vail Resorts from 1997-2008, during which time those companies experienced double digit growth and ebitda.
Bill has received numerous awards, including being inducted into the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame in 2008 and is a two-time recipient of the Colorado Ski country USA Chairman’s Award. Bill is also a committed community advocate, serving as a Director for SOS (Snowboard Outreach Society), Director of the Vail Veterans Program and as a Director for the Colorado Ski Museum.
Bill received his undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of the Stanford Business School Executive Program. Bill and his wife Cheryl have homes in Telluride and Vail, Colorado.
